Michael Warhurst, DO, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Pain Management Specialist at Medicus Spine & Joint. Patients can choose the nearest office from the five offices in Brunswick, Georgia; Mt. Pleasant and Bluffton, South Carolina; and Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Warhurst received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He furthered his Doctorate Osteopathic Medicine studies at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM-Carolinas) in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
His post-doctoral training includes an Internal Medicine Internship and an Internal Medicine Residency at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point (HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital) in Hudson, Florida. He also fulfilled a Pain Medicine Fellowship (AOA Accredited) at Larkin Community Hospital (Larkin Health System) in Miami.
From 2019 to 2020, Dr. Warhurst worked as a Staff Physician at the Institute of Non-surgical Orthopedics. He has served as an Interventional Pain Management Physician at Jax Beach Total Health Clinic, LLC since 2020.
In 2021 he became a valued member of the team at Medicus Spine & Joint, seeing patients at the practice’s Jacksonville and Gainesville offices.
He specializes in Fluoroscopic Guided Interventional Procedures, Selective Nerve Root Blocks, Facet Injections, Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar ESIs, Intralaminar & Transforaminal Injections,
Medial Branch Blocks and Radiofrequency Rhizotomy, Intraarticular Injections, Caudal Epidurals, Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Trigger Point Injections, and Medication Management.
Dr. Warhurst is board-certified in Pain Medicine by the American Osteopathic Conjoint Board of Pain Medicine and board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOABIM). He is Florida Medical Cannabis Prescriber Licensed by Florida Medical Association and a DEA Dispensing Prescriber.
